Donatien Dibwe dia Mwembu (Ph.D. in History of Laval University, Québec) is a Professor of History in the Department of Historical Sciences, University of Lubumbashi (DR Congo). Since 1990, he has been interested in social history, especially urban popular cultures. In collaboration with Bogumil Jewsiewicki, he leads the project Mémoires de Lubumbashi. He is the author of several articles and books.
